FOCUS 50 UK | A Deep dive into Audiotec Fischer

Last week, Midbass hosted Focus 50 UK, our very own exclusive invite only Audiotec Fischer dealer training event down at our headquarters in Sutton Coldfield.

It was a two-day event, both focused on Audiotec Fischer but each day dialling into different parts of the brand. Backed by Audiotec themselves, they generously came down to our headquarters to deliver this training, with the company’s CEO, Julian Fischer, delivering a long, in-depth presentation about the company on day 1. He was supported by Peter Steinbacher, Audiotec Fischer International Sales Manager. Peter brings over 20 years of experience as an installer, top-level competitor, and worldwide sound-tuning coach. Who took the ropes on day 2 to dive deep into PC-Tool 6, and finally, Patrick Hegener, Audiotecs R&D manager.

We have been UK distributors for Audiotec Fischer for over 10 years. They have a huge product portfolio split across 3 brands, Brax, Helix and Match. With industry-leading vehicle integration via their Helix DSP products, as well as their Flex mount system. As well as their integration-focused Match range, which features plug-and-play amps, plug-and-play vehicle wiring looms for speakers, and direct-replacement OEM upgrade speakers for some of the most popular car brands, with non-generic vehicle speaker fitment.

Day 1 had a great atmosphere; it allowed dealers to network, learn, and experience the Audiotec product in full force, with plenty of demos from vehicles featuring the Audiotec product, including Peter Steinbecher’s own award-winning vehicle featuring his own super tweeters (Pssound – Mundorf U40S-PS1.1) as well as a full Audiotec install using Brax and Helix products. Bar the subwoofer, which he uses a specialised infinite baffle (IB) sub. The system is composed of Brax Ml28 Pro tweeters, Brax Ml80s for the midrange and centre channel, and Midbass units using Brax Ml8 drivers, all being processed by a Brax DSP with ess cards.

The Audiotec goodness didn’t stop there, though: for amplifier power, Peter uses Four Brax RX2s, RX2s, a Helix P6 Ultimate, and, for the bass amp, a Helix P1 to deliver the low notes. At the event, we also had our own staff members’ vehicles available for demos, including a custom Tesla SQ system. The Tesla system also uses Pssound tweeters, this time the Pssound – Mundorf U60S-PS1.1.

The Tesla features Brax ML3s for its centre channel, a Brax ML8 midbass, and HELIX Ci3 C100.2FM-S3 MK2 drivers in the rear, all powered by four Helix C Four class A/B amplifiers, 3 Helix C one amplifiers, and, similarly to Peter’s car, a Brax DSP with ESS output cards.

In addition to Peter’s car and the Tesla, we had a perfect example of a Match BMW system upgrade, with all speakers in stock locations utilising a plug-and-play Match amp upgrade, which perfectly demonstrates what the average everyday Audiotec install may look like, and how good of a sound you can get from that setup.

The first day focused on the brand as a whole, covering its background, diving deep into product design philosophy, and highlighting newly released and upcoming products.
Day 2 delved into the Audiotec Fischers PC-Tool 6 software, led by Peter Steinbacher, with training on how to use it and the fundamentals of car tuning, an explanation of new features in the latest version of the software, and, of course, answering any questions dealers had.

Peter maticoulosly covered each area of the PC-Tool 6 whilst tuning a car live in front of the dealers, making sure to answer dealer questions along the way. It was a great space for learning.

These training days are the first of many to make our UK Dealer network experts on Audiotec Fischer’s products and the Audiotec DSP TOOL, providing expert-level in-vehicle tuning. We hope for many more to come!
