At the heart of the design is the Kevlar woven fibre cone, chosen for its exceptional strength and reduced flex. Less distortion, more output, cleaner bass—simple as that. Supporting this is the HEX wide-roll surround, allowing high linear excursion while maintaining cone stability for improved sound quality and higher SPL.
The standout Thunder Dome dustcap isn’t just for looks either. Its added mass lowers the driver’s resonant frequency (Fs), optimising bass response while strengthening the cone structure. The result is deeper, tighter bass with reduced cone breakup, even at higher power levels.
